Satan mimics God
... Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
2 Corinthians 11:14
Satan is a fallen angel, for Ezekiel 28:14 tells you he was an anointed cherub. Satan will always try
to pass himself off as something he is not. Satan is evil and he brings darkness and destruction to the
human race.
Satan deceives people by falsely imitating the miracles of God. Let me explain, only Jesus can heal,
Satan cannot, because he can’t give away something he does not have. Sickness and disease enters the
human condition through sin. Because of the fall of Adam, everyone has inherited a sin nature. When you
sin, you enter Satan’s domain and he can attack you in different ways. Sin opens the door for Satan to attack
you and one of his favorite ways to afflict you is sickness.
Jesus takes away sickness, Satan puts it on you. If I had my hands around someone’s neck choking
them to the point that they couldn’t breath, how can my hands be removed? Either I voluntarily remove my
hands from their neck or someone bigger and stronger than I forces me to let go. If Satan puts a sickness
on you, isn’t it logical that he could take it off of you? This is how Satan imitates healings. Religions that
use chants, spells or sorcery to heal are not of God, likewise, psychic healers do not get their healing ability
from God. Jesus is the only healer and he heals for free. He doesn’t charge a set price to heal you. He
doesn’t turn on a meter to time your prayers then charge you $3.99 a minute for listening.
Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices
divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium
or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord ...
Deuteronomy 18:10-12
Satan brings sickness
So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the
soles of his feet to the top of his head.
Job 2:7
And there was a woman who for eighteen years had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she
was bent double, and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said
to her, Woman, you are freed from your sickness.
Luke 13:11-12 NASB
And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long
years, should she not have been released from this bond on the Sabbath day?
Luke 13:16 NASB
You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power,
and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was
with Him.
Acts 10:38 NASB
Here you have the trinity, The Father, (Job 2:7) the Son, (Luke 13:11-12;16) and the Holy Spirit (Acts
10:38) declaring Satan as the one responsible for sickness.
